Good Afternoon

Postby The Delightful Assistant » May 21st, '07, 16:15

Hello folks, it's very nice to be here.

I'm not a magician, just a very enthusiastic fan of close-up and mental magic, and a lover of card magic especially.

I have actually dabbled in card magic, but decided I preferred not to know how it was done. 'Royal Road' is to my bookshelf what the tree of Knowledge was to the Garden of Eden.

I've come here because I can't think of a better way to meet people who will humour my insatiable appetite for watching card magic - I can see I'm going to have to be very careful about where I go on this forum so as not to ruin my enjoyment!

Don't worry, revelation is very much frowned upon on this forum (as it rightly should be). Nice to have you here!

Welcome, I like the Garden of Eden analogy - we may try and tempt you into learning and performing some of these 'forbidden' activities  !

Heh - I'm glad to hear it, it is a largely public forum after all!

I could yet be convinced. I know a few dabblers who can amaze me but are still amazed, I'm sure many people here can identify with that.

I fear my clumsiness will prevent me from ever being a decent magician, but I am thinking of getting some linking rings. There's something I love about the sound they make.

Ha - thanks for the warning. Thankfully I'm reasonably articulate and a seasoned forum veteran!

Stand by for helpful suggestions concerning the various online places - Alakazam, emagictricks, Merchant of magic, Magicbox - in fact check out the selection of advertisers at the bottom of the page and see what they're offering  .

C'mon join the dark side and join us, you know you want to. You should get yourself a TT and have a bit of fun with that then see where things take you after that.

Oh and welcome to TM

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.
