david, let me ask you a question, if you are only here to criticize and make false accusations why do u even bother to post? i clearly stated in my other posts that i 1. needed help and 2. was willing to answer any questions on the Criss Angel coin through soda dvd if they had doubts. i don't get whats so hard to understand about that.

I am having issues with this as well. Have only found one can I can do it with at the moment. Others that look the same just don't work.
Can anyone list (or PM) me cans they have found that work. I've seen other people listing cans that do not work for me unless they aren't using a 10p.
Hope this isn't giving anything away. I'm happy to answer questions.

PS I'm uk based.

There have been anumber of legit posts on this effect, which have all commented on coins and cans. If you look for these threads (maybe someone will post links) then you may find your questions answered.

To make sure that you nail the effect it's always worthwhile experimenting with various combinations of coins and cans. As an example, 10p's used to be OK on Coke cans but now I use a 20p which you can use nicely. Try NOT to just pick up a strange can and then perform. You're taking a big chance in my opinion.

Happy slamming

I also think that Coke and Pepsi cans work fine. Also, it's a plus because if you want to show someone the trick, all you have to do is find the nearest soda vending machine and they'll have one or the other.

Do you find you still get the same reaction with a 20p?
I always cut the can open at the end to retrieve the 10p as a convincer.

it's not the value of the coin that impresses - it's the overall effect. I've always found that the reactions are just as good with a 20p as they were when I used to use a 10p

I also use a 20p when I can, it makes the trick far easier and the reactions are always the same.

I go into my pocket and take out a load of change, then force the specs choice of either a 10p or 20p. It doesn't matter which one they choose, although 20p is easier, as by the time they've signed it and seen the effect it blows them away!

Also, diet coke is my can of choice

I too have found a few problems with the illusion. On the note of cans, i've found that a lot of "fake" coca cola etc (by fake I mean imported from turkey or the ilk from cash and carry's, bulk etc) really don't work well for the first part of the trick. Standard cans should be alright, also take note of what cans are available, as the coin used is much more easily changed than the can for the last part of the trick.

Secondly...cold cans (and I mean freezing!) make me fumble like a little girl.

Hope that helps this (dead) topic...

The foreign ones can be a problem, but they are never usually in vending machines, I have only found them in corner shops.

I have found I get a better reaction using a ten pence and I don't know why. It hasn't been happening recently, but it has before.

And my favourite can is a diet coke can aswell, for reasons explained in the DVD
