Hi all,

Here is my performance from the YMOTY this year. I'd love it if you could comment on it.

There are many things that are wrong with it, for example my shifting about on stage and I wasn't too happy with my entrance, but if you have any comments at all I'd love to hear from you.

Slow down a little with the delivery (it will help with your positioning on stage too) but otherwise pretty good.

No offense but i thought the whole 3 and a half beginning minuets were a waste of time, getting two people up and getting the crowd to cheer just so you could do a simple coin production was kinda annoying.

The rest of the performance was good though.

However try being a bit smoother with the palms, and try not do fidget with your hands so much. (I do realize this was most probably to do with nerves).

Citrus, just to let you know the reason for doing the bit at the beginning was not because I wanted to produce a coin. The coin bit was something I added on as I thought the warm up needed some actual magic.

The idea behind the warm up was to get the audience used to me, the kind of performer I am and hopefully to like me! Most of the day was performers doing manipulation acts to music, where the audience sits and watches. What the warm up was trying to tell the audience is that they're going to have to get a bit involved with my act. It also set up a bit of competition between the two spectators.

One other thing I think that my warm up did well was spectator selection. By doing this 'game' I got a close look at each of them and could see who would be best to do the actual trick.

In hindsight, it was probably the wrong thing to do. But just to let you know the intentions behind it were thought out!
