Well, there I was this morning, reading the free local paper when I spotted the following ad:
"Ashoka Bar and Resuarant, formerly the Bull & Butcher, Manchester Road, Burnley, is holding a Magic Night tonight (Thusday 24th May) at 7.30pm, with Preston-based Alan Coventry, twice winner of the Magic Circle close-up magic award. Tickets cost £14.95 and include a curry meal."

We NEVER have magic shows round here (or at least I've never seen any advertised, etc ) and I'm sooooooo pi**ed off at missing out on this opportunity, as I would def have gone .

Is there a website where magic shows/venues are displayed, as I really don't want to miss out the next time .

...or could we collectively create a listings service on this site?

www.magicweek.co.uk have a calendar of activities for some months ahead but can only include items they're told about. Our Events section has included some exclusive notifications but only because the organisers came along and posted the details.

Forgot about Magicweek!
As you say, any listing relies upon people letting others know.
