Anyone interested in the 'Classic Series' should have a peek at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4bgOroUhWI and then, for the more recent one, at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtCT5ARY ... ed&search=

Russell T Davies is such a writing talent!! I don't think anyone saw the face of Boe coming!!! It's amazing because i was almost crying when the doctor was cradling the master in his arms. He's on his own again. David Tennant is such a brillinat actor. Does anyone know why Martha Jones has been written out for now? She was just as good if not better than Billie Piper! As they say- all good things must come to an end and now I'm waiting with baited breath for Christmas (by the way... I thought that the master was executed by the daleks in the "classic" series-can anyone shed any light on that for me please?)

According to that he was exterminated in a TV movie. I don't understand what it says about the continuity.

Well, yes - he *was* exterminated in the TVM (right at the beginning!), before tricking the Doctor into transporting his remains, escaping (in the form of a snake-like 'essance'), and taking over the body of a poor paramedic....before finally attmepting to steal the rest of the Doctor's lives

Although he was defeated and 'destroyed' by the Doctor at the end of the TVM, he was then ressurected by the Time Lords, to help them during the Time War against the Daleks.

Seeing the carnage, he then chose to run away, disguise himself as a human, and alter his memories, so his identity became a secret, even to himself.

As to the Martha/Freema Agyman question, she WILL return for the second half of next years' series (although she's going to be in three episodes of Torchwood first....oh yes...Lesbian clinch for Martha, anyone? )

More Martha!

Relax - she's coming back, and branching out too...

While the final episode of Series Three, screened last Saturday , saw The Doctor's companion Martha leave to care for her devastated family, and to break the cycle of unrequited love she feels for The Doctor, the production team has now confirmed that the character is set to make a triumphant return in the fourth series.

Freema Agyeman is also set to join the cast of Torchwood, where she will continue to play the character in three new episodes before returning to Doctor Who in the middle of the fourth series.

As Doctor Who's Executive Producer and head writer, Russell T Davies notes: "Series three has gained outstanding reviews and Freema has been a huge part of that success, gaining rave notices for her portrayal of Martha. Now we are taking the character of Martha into brand new territory with a starring role in Torchwood".

"I can't wait to start filming on Torchwood and the new series of Doctor Who," said Freema. "It's a huge new challenge for me and I'm delighted Russell has decided to expand the character of Martha Jones.'"

The new announcement leaves a vacant space in the TARDIS. A new companion for The Doctor, who will join the new series for the entire 13 week run, will be announced shortly.

My biggest concern for Doctor Who now is that David Tennant will quit after enother series or two for fear of being typecast. I don't think we'll find another actor like him to play the doctor. We were lucky that we found him after Christopher Eccleston stopped. I don't think we can be lucky again...

It was confirmed on TV this morning that Kylie Minogue is in the Christmas special and other rumours are that both David Tennant and Rusell T Davies will leave after the next series.

...although there's a more recent rumour that David's got at least another TWO years worth of intent for the role :D

Cathrine Tate is to be the new companion, as the same character from her christmas special.

I think she should be good. My mum wont be happy though as she thought Miss Tate shouted when she talked and that really annoyed her.
