Rubber cement transportation

Postby ultimatecreate » May 30th, '07, 23:19

Hey all,

Recently invested in Ross Rubber cement. Big fan of it, but it comes in a large 4oz pot. Anyone have any ideas about carrying this around for one off tricks in clubs + pubs? Cheers,

Alex

Cement it to your belt, beside an Assassin's pocuh and Topit.

Just out of curiosity, what do you plan on using the cement for?

I suggest you carry it in a film canister. You should be able to pour enough in there for one night.

I've just checked - I've got a 4 oz pot too - I can imagine how awkward it would be to carry it around  .
I haven't really tried this, but would a wart applicator bottle work :?: .
It's quite a small bottle, but I reckon it'll hold enough RC to last a few performances (depending on what you're using it for) and it has an applicator which will help when applying the RC  .

The only problem is it may not hold enough RC to last you  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Do people actually use those?

If you can get a travel size listerin bottle or Axe body wash..
Rinse them out, and they work great. The listerin bottle ( with screw cap) works the best...
Just look around for those kinds of things.

I imagine those little brown medication bottles could come in quite handy also. Especially since nobody would suspect anything wierd was going on seeing you with one of them

Hope that helps

Spot on.

And, the beauty is that most varnish brushes are resilient to the thinners in the RC, so they stay stable. And glass is definately the way to go here.

AND...

Topits are very much a cool thing. Perhaps they didn't get the E. treatment yet, but they're definately in for some revival.

Guys - some EXCELLENT ideas being thrown around here!!

I'm so pleased. I just turned to Magic Bunny - been posting there about a month now (just to see what its like on the other side of the fence, I'd never dream of leaving) and I posted this topic there too.

The best answer I got was 'how about a small pot...?' :|

My apologies TM. I will never be bad again.

I think the film canister would take the lead though - big enough to get your finger in a get a wacking big bit (I prefer this as I imagine the nail varnish applicator spreads v thin).

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of trick have you thought of using this with? I understand if you cannot disclose it in the public parts of the forum.

Well, there aren't 1001 applications, but it does have a large role in a few effects.

It's also great for putting cards together after splitting them.
