And introducing...

Postby Occam's Razor » May 31st, '07, 17:32

Greetings to one and all.

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Scott , I'm a student studying Economics at Edinburgh University and I'm very new to magic and hence also to this forum. I've been an avid spectator since my youth and have only started to explore the terrain of actually performing it.

Currently I'm steadily working my way through The Royal Road To Card Magic and the companion DVD set by R. Paul Wilson and so far so good. I came across this forum a few months ago and it was the advice of the current members that prompted me to purchase the above.

I'm looking forward to conversing with you all and learning from your expertise and hopefully one day (as distant as it seems hehe) I hope to to give back at some point.

Thanks for reading.
Scott

That's a good place to start :D

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Hey man, I might be doing Economics at uni next year as well.

By the way, how did you come up with your username? I'm aware of the principle of Occam's Razor, but I've never seen it used as a screen name before.

Hey thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Cheers for taking the time to do so.

By the way, how did you come up with your username?

Well Lyncho, there's really not much of a back story to it. I usually use the word razor in most of my usernames as I have some strange affinity with the word and being interested in the various branches of philosophy it seemed the natural choice. Plus it's one of my favourite assertions.

Good luck with the Economics too. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Well jbauerctu I've only just started but I can say the number of cards that are flying all over the place is constantly diminishing. :D

At the moment I'm simply trying to gain some proficiency with the over-hand shuffle and the various controls it allows.

What about you? How are you finding it?
