Apologies if there's another thread devoted to this; I have searched.

I'm after tips on the use of d****e-s***d t**e for an effect I'm working on. Is there a recommended type; would a small piece in the middle be enough to create a convincing illusion; and is it better for the job than, say, **x? (I don't know if these asterisks are strictly necessary - or, indeed, fooling anyone but the most mentally negligent - but thought I'd play it safe.) Also, would it be of benefit to have the cards laminated, given that it's not a standard playing card routine?

Any experience or words of wisdom greatly appreciated.

Seige while your in plugging mode, could you please tell me if the loop system and EIT would be suitable for the rising card effect on covert magic?
