Postby LeftEye » Jun 10th, '07, 19:31

The Marlo's Ruse Control, does anybody know where I can leanrn this? A simple Google search gives me nothing and can't find it on the forum either.

Any help is appreciated.

I know of the Marlo convincing control if thats the same thing? Card chosen from a spread and the upjogged?

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

What is this Left Eye? Daryl's Encyclopaedia teaches something that sounds similar to what Markdini's talking of.

The thing I am thinking of Martin is the card ends up on the bottom of the deck. It a bit like a c**l.

In that case I'm totally mixed up. I'm thinking of something else completly different and it has nothing to do with the Ruse Control. Had one too many beers and haven't got a clue. Sorry

I think it is a magician fooler. You start overhand shuffling (i think) and in-jog a card so the magician thinks you have jogged a card. Then you push the jogged card into the deck with no funny moves.

I'm not sure of a location in any of Marlo's works - but I know the mechanics of the Ruse Control are detailed in John Bannon's Dear Mr. Fantasy book - for the effect Last Man Standing.

For clarity - it's not the same as the Convincing control. The Ruse control brings the selection to the top of the deck. It's actually quite effective.

I'll keep looking around, see if I can't dig up a few more places for you to look.
