Hello everyone, I'm Liam and I'm delighted I've come across this board.
A quick introduction; I'm currently a student in London, an 'exile' (Irishman born in the UK) - admittedly without that much of a noticeable accent - and have been stumbling around magic/illusion ect. for a couple of months.
I got into magic ect. through mentalism. I work part-time voluntarily as a counsellor and the study around that, particularly human cognition and body language got me interested in that school of magic, I duly bought a fantastic book on the subject and here I am!

At the moment I mainly do tricks around that and cards, keeping it simple, though I am going to look up other 'types' of magic. I also enjoy the showman part of magic, and personally believe giving a good performance makes a difference in how much the audience likes your show - though its important to take into account your audience and situation when deciding how far you go - and the actual tricks are key.
I'm not going to be making a career out of magic (teaching all the way

I think I may have gone on a bit too much

Cheers.
