Charity Signed Deck and Extras

Postby Andyb » Jun 27th, '07, 13:36

Good Afternoon All,

Last November a group of like minded hobbyists - including myself - decided to put together a signed deck of cards which we would be Auctioning for the Make a Wish Appeal.
The aim of this was to contact as many of our favorite magicians and influences in magic and get a GREAT signed deck. This was not an easy task and we made some great friends along the way!! After many many many months of work the finished article is now available and will be autioned on the 11th of July.
We are trying to raise awareness for this auction wherever possible and I felt that here would be a great place! The deck and further information can be seen at:
www.billymccoy.co.uk
Please take time to have a look at the page (and bid!!) if you can think of anyone who may be interested please also pass this on to anyone else who may find it interesting.
MODS - If I have posted this in the wrong place please move it or let me know!! (Note from Mods: No worries, it's in the right place!)
Thanks in advance for anyone who has a look.

Andy :)

I defintely won't be able to afford the deck but I would realy like to congratulate you on an excellent way to make money for charity. Its quite obvious to see that you have put alot of effort in to this and I'm sure the deck will go for alot of money! I wish you lots of luck with the auction.

The names on there surprised me!
Not only just Penn and Teller, but some excellent magicians that only other magicians can appreciate..
You got the WHOLE DECK too, even poker rules! that gave me a laugh.

Wow. That deck's amazing. It's like a Who's Who in the magic world.
I never knew Joe Pasquale was a magician. Has he always been a magician?

Joe is a very big mate of Wayne Dobson and I believe his magic background goes back many years.

Wow! what a treasure, the names on there are really much bigger than I expected!
James Randi! wow!
Penn and Teller on the 3 of Clubs, that gave me a laugh...
I knew a friend who got his Ghost Deck framed and it looked really nice, (except a waste of money, who wants to frame a plain old deck?) but might be worth looking into.

-Kent

Edit: Ellusionist sells the framed ghost decks, but something similar with this deck would be cool

Something that may be fun? Guess the final auction value of the deck!

We seriously have no idea what its worth is and were looking in the region of £100 - £120 as a possibility if it was being bought by a company/casino!!

More additions to the extras:
Paul Gordon (A Top Bloke - very funny and friendly) lectured at Derby Magic Circle last night and donated more to the extras section!!
Keep checking the site for additions!
