i like the idea of this trick - but the video does it no favours,
in the vid the 'blood' looks like the ladybird, please put me right if i am wrong as i would love to buy it - but if I'm not convinced by the blood how will my 'victims' be?

btw i found a source of ladybirds in the uk

http://www.birdfood.co.uk/products.php? ... &nav_id=49

about £20 and as they lay s***loads of eggs you will probably not need to buy anymore ever!

buy them soon as they are only available in the summer

could someone pm me about the blood thing if im wrong and the answer could lead to exposure.
cheers

Just a quick thought about the ladybirds, you can buy them at specialist retailers but where do you buy the aphids to feed them?

Because you're a magician who is fully aware that s/he is watching a demo of a magic trick, and that of course the blood isn't real because it's an £80 or so magic trick.

Perhaps?

Trust me, if your audience sees you prick yourself with a knife then it's only causally natural that they believe the red blob is blood. You cut yourself, you bleed.

It's only an issue if you make it one.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if any one can tell me if its difficult to look after the laddybirds, as in when you're not performing.
Do they take a lot of looking after, where do you keep them, I know you feed them aphids, but where do you get these from and how do you look after these, where do you store them?

I am interested inthis effect, but not sure the wife will be best pleased with bugs all rounf the house.

I'm not looking for opinions on the effect or anything, just how dificult it is to babysit lady bugs for the summer :D

they come in a tube that you can put in the fridge to make them hibernate, they also come with some fine wood shavings that they can eat when no aphids are around

@Bananachek
consider this efect on par with the humble coin unique / scotch and soda you can do it basic and get an ok effect or you can add prsentation and selling of the effect and have a miracal, the choice is yours.

Check out one of the comments :
'Fallen Angels everywhere - that ladybug is a deamon, and the woman is posessed by a lot of deamons.

Do not wonder - do not worship them - Read the holy BIBLE! '

Well I guess that spectator was convinced;)

I really like the look of this effect, but at around £60 and another £20 for just 30 ladybirds (ladybugs in USA), I think I'll pass on this effect
