so you released it for the sake of it? :?

The whole idea of coin theough bottle type effects is that the coin cant get out, so where does yours differ??

I know a coin through bottle that uses the SAME method as yours, only you use a Tic Tac box.

He simply wants to do things his way? Let him.

No, not at all. I respect IDs opinions on The Tic-Tac Book, because everyone has different tastes and styles. BrianMillerMagic at the Cafe loved it, so obviously not everyone likes it. I don't care, as lond as people like it as well.

I normally stay out of these debates, but I wanted to point something out.

Michael - you say you value ID's opinion, but when his review isn't sparkling, you are quick to point out other reviews and continually say "these are tried and tested effects".

Essentially, even if you're not aware - you are trying to undercut ID. ID is a well respected member of this forum, and his opinions are held in high regard by myself and everyone else here. As such, I don't appreciate what you're doing.

He's not blown away by your booklet. That will happen. The sign of professionalism is to take your lumps and move on. Not everyone is going to like your work, and it's not fair for you to attempt to shout down or steamroll someone's review because it wasn't what you were looking for.

I realize you're just defending yourself, but there's a point where defense becomes offensive. Right now (at least to me) you're crossing that line. You have every right to be proud of your work, but you need to respect the opinions of your consumers.

No. Because it is a new method that I a releasing. This is a different approach and although it does share many similarities with a single Coin In Bottle effect released at another magic forum, it is not exactly the same. In fact, people at the Cafe say my method is superior.

OK, this is turning into a slang war (slowly) or at least it appears it will go that way.

Let's just say that if you want reviews, you have to take the rough with the smooth.

I am locking the thread... let's leave it there.
