Hey, i just bought an ITR, a kevlar 2000 one. so it gets here today, i open it up and start messing with it, and the first thing that happens is the string pops off the wax and goes into the thing, i was wondering what i have to do to get it out? it has two holes, and i have no idea what to do. thanks!

Try Sucking through the holes until you can get ahold of the thread. Be ready to grasp with your fingers so you can place it back on the wax. Roll a lot of the thread on to the wax to ensure that it doesnt loosen itself from the wax.

roll up a bit of wax or blu tack that fits in the hole and keep pushing it in untill it catches the t***** then wind plenty of it in to the wax. it will catch eventually.

It's a utility device, asking to describe the effect is kinda like saying 'Whats the effect with a deck of cards look like?' Which effect?. It can be used for many different things. Many publishers have books / DVDs / Notes on thread work. If you ask your local retailer / search on your local site, they will probably be happy to recommend something for you.
