It scares me loads...

Mrs Seige went thru tho whole 'names ' thing recently—she's become a bit broody since tying the knot.

Anyhow, some of the names are OK, but after 'nights with the girls' she adds scary suggestions.

On her list (I kid you knot are)

Girl
Lime
Cyan

Boy
Kyan
CJ
Zackary

There's not one single 'normal' name on there. Is there really any point causing kids to become the laughing stock?

I've just texted a friend's daughter to ask for the daftest name at her school.

It's twins: Jemini and Jenda.

Cyan certainly is. It's the 'primary process colour' of pale blue, used in full colour printing. (along with Magenta, Yellow and Black... I won't tell her that!)

I quite actually like Lime, as it's always been one of my favourite words. But for a kids name???

NOT ON MY WATCH, SOLDIER!

Goodness gracious, that's terrible.

As a bit of a wine drinker (quantity over quality, I hasten to add) I know a bit about plonk...

And Chardonnay is definately not on my list... it's far too pedestrian!

If we ever have a daughter we've decided on Jessica. Uncommon but still a nice and normal name.

Surely two of the worst girls names must be Porsche and Mercedes?

Thing is, their parents probably drive Ford Escorts with balcked out windows, loud stereos and huge exhaust pipes.

Best names for boys, first and middle:

Sidney James (insert surname)
Kenneth William (insert surname)

Well that's what I'd choose!

My 2 are Lucy (after Lucy in the Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe) and James after James Dean/Jim Morrison/Jimi Hendrix/James T. Kirk (delete as neccesary).

I suppose we should all be calling our kids Mabel, Hilda or Betty or something then?
Times change. Look at your grandparents names. Are there even loads of people in your own generation with names like Theirs?

Tiberius. Now that's a moniker to conjure with!

I'm all for modern names, but nice ones, not outlandish ones. Summer is a nice name for a modern girl, for instance.

This is so ridiculous that I expect not to be believed but I swear this true.

At one of my old workplaces was a manager whos surname was Pumphrey, she got pregnant and when she left there was the standard work email sent around saying she had given birth to a bouncing baby boy who her and her husband had named Humphrey.
Now I always took this as a joke but the H.R dept insisted this was the case.
