Wow, that's a great trick, Mandrake. Certainly something to add to my want pile :)

Yeah, I agree with all comments saying that presentation is important, thanks for making it clear, guys. Something which most youtube videos seem to lack, and being new to this is something I need to get right myself!

I've seen many routines or just single effects in all forms of magic done silently and successfully. Personally I cannot keep my mouth shut and would never get away with it, it is just not me. As stated in another post this guy was just standing there doing tricks, not performing. Most of how we convey ourselves to others is not done vocally. Body language tells the story. A great way understand this is to join some kind of speech club here in the USA and Canada we have toastmasters which is brutal but also a lot of fun and a great learning environment. If interested in performing in silence go hang out with some good mimes. While I don't especially like mimes there is a lot one can learn from them.
