Not much more to add really.

i think to point you oth missed was that he could have done it perfect, but because the magcian in the auidence knew how that trick was done, not nessacerly because Sdubin made a mistake but because he had knowledge of thumbtips and some of the tricks they are used in.

when you meet up with one of these guys i do one of two things

This:

or i just pack up and walk away. if the audenice enjoyed your show up to and including that trick they will either ask you not to stop and/or they will be annoyed at that one audience member for ruining their enjoyment.

i do suggest that if you see if they know any tricks do not to it while being cockey and thinking that you are better then them. just because they are an asshole doesn't mean they suck at magic. also ifyou are polite to them you may even learn something from them.

thank you kemo. I did preform the trick very well but he simpily knew the trick and by making this topic i want to know what you would do in a situation like this and not be criticized for something that i can not prevent.

the first thing i would suggest is when you do preform try hard to have have an "air of superiority ". Be humble about all your magic

Another thing that may help is to not make you tricks a contest between you and the spectator. Do not repeast a trick say things like "I'm sure youll catch it this time" that just makes them want to point out what ever they notice. Try to make your tricks very more like magic and less like a puzzle

the book "stong magic" deals with the last thing i said.
