I use Harry Robson's wallet, which can be found Here

It's a decent looking wallet and a very easy load!

Hi Peter, what fantastic initials you have! :)

I like the Mullica wallet for gimmicked wallets (in love with fire wallets though) and I use Connected (my own effect) if I don't want to use a gimmicked wallet.

The Fire Wallet from www.jbtv.co.uk is great and as I said, the Mullica is the "normal" gimmicked wallet that I prefer.

I had one of the original Jerry O'Connell wallets, and I still use one today. They are fantastically made, and very easy to use.

Take care, Ian

:) Also Peter look for the Patrick Page Card To Wallet video( I should think it's dvd now!) It will give you much valueable information on every aspect of the trick.

It is indeed on DVD, as part of the Secret Seminars of Magic range. Patrick Page even shows you how to convert your own wallet to do this effect.

Card To Wallet

Postby Allen Tipton » Sep 16th, '07, 10:32

:) Part Timer, I am glad someone else uses their own wallet. I have always done this as when you get the feke ones they look so pristine & new and unused! I know some magicians do work them in, on an everyday basis but not many I've discussed this with They keep that wallet for that trick. Mine is an ordinary soft leather wallet that I adaped in one minute flat and it looks so natural. IF I was working in white tie and tails( what do you mean in 2007) then the very new wallet with its brass corners would look in keeping but NOT in today's, real World. Peter if you need a sure fire slide then check out The Roy Johnson Experience ( his first book published by Goodliffe) pages 15 to 21, The 'Policy'.In this RJ showes you how( very simply) to cause the card to even appear between 2 staples pieces of cardboard inside the wallet. I have used his Policy idea but as an IOU for the ordinary 'slide' for 37 years.
You might also be interested how Roy gets a card into a sealed stick of chewing gum, last item in the book.
You'll probably have to borrow the book or find a second hand one as it's out of print.
Roy has been a friend for many years and I was amazed this last month to discover that several Talk Magic Forums had never heard of him or his books which are filled with the most clean handling Close Up & Stand Up Magic you'll ever find.
Currently, Only Three Dimension is still available ( Goodliffe £8)
LIST of RJ BOOKS. See 'Miscellaneous' ( 4 Sept) page 2, 'What Can I Do With This Book' for a list of RJ's works.

Very good advice, Allen.

Magicians and mentalists (if there is any significant difference for these purposes) seem to have a wallet for all occasions. I'm as guilty, if not more guilty, as the next man for having amassed a collection of different ones. I think that bringing out a different wallet for different things, especially when they usually look new, is a problem, especially for amateur performers.

I think the one that is the most versatile commercial versions is the Jerry O'Connell Plus Wallet, but sadly it's one that requires a jacket, which doesn't really suit many people these days. This includes me, and I tend to dress quite smartly. Another very useful one is the Stealth Assassin Wallet, though it's not that suited to Card to Wallet.

Card To Wallet

Postby Allen Tipton » Sep 16th, '07, 17:21

:) Yes Part Timer, I wonder how many magicians buy a wallet, thinking of the different gimmicks first( Oh I must have the latest) and before considering what clothes they wear and the venues they perform in?
And Peter H. I forgot to mention Al Koran's Pronto card To Wallet; Al Koran's Legacy by Hugh Miller. Published by Repro Magic in 1972 and still available. My routine is based on this. The book is full of routines, mainly Close Up & Cabaret & professionally tested, over many years, and generally fairly easy to do.
Now how many are going to say,'Who is /was Al Koran?'

Hi everyone
I can see that the discution goes over. Great
in my last reply about this wallet question, you are right.

We always collect wallets, that most of the times dont really use a lot.

Have a look
"RISING" SIGNED CARD TO FIRE WALLET"
No metal parts, no asbastos, havy diuty, ..
Actually, mr popel has say not so long time ago that it was the best in the market
No need refill for three hours.
http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.ph ... t=0&page=1

whats good with that one is that, you can used as a normal fire wallet
or, "SIGNED card to fire wallet, PLUS if wanted
"RISING" card to.........

If you need extra info, dont hesitate to send me a PM

I recomend the BKM wallet. It combines the Balducci, Kaps and Mullica wallets. This means that you can make a card appear in a zippered compartment or a sub wallet. If have a little bit more money to spend the Plus Wallet by Jerry O'Connell is very nice. It does all the above and also gives you the lepaul wallet effect as well (signed card to sealed envolep in wallet). The Plus wallet can also be used as a normal wallet which is important for me.

I second this  .

Steve Draun's Real Man's Wallet looks just like a normal wallet - not one of those huge monstrosities that looks more like a briefcase than a wallet  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
