Ooooo that has to hurt.

I've nearly done that once or twice myself. I tend to leave a 1p stuck to it when it is in my pocket so I dont spend it.

Oops - mind you, haven't most of us been there at some point or other?

My last gaff spend was a 10p shell - £17 straight down the drain on a packet of crisps

And then...not coins...but I dropped a 'vital' piece of my Ladybug down the site of my car-seat (serves my right for practising in the car - not whilst I was driving, mind you!).

Thought it'd gone for good, as I couldn't even see it.

Luckily, I did some fishing with my Relic and actually got the bu**er back

Thats why Im trying to sell stuff now so I can raise £10 extra to buy a new one as the stuff I have been doing with that lately has had my business cards flying out at a faster rate than ever!! It was only a week old aswell.. Im just hoping that it turns up somewhere unexpected.

Too bad mate.. I know how gutting these things can be... its makes me feel sick when I do something like that!!

Yup, me too... I've lost several Coin Unique's over the years and can only think that I must have spent them.

So with al these gaffed coins out in circulation, whose going to be the first to get one BACK!

I think my brother spent my 2p coin unique. He was collecting 2ps in those coin bags so he could exhange them at the bank and my coin unique disppeared from my room along with some normal 2ps. Either that or I'm getting really good at magic!

Also spent my folding 10p when i was younger.

Yep. Gave a shelled 10p to the local hospice charity collector.
Managed to track him down and get it back though. Luckily he hadn't given it away as change.
Sorry for the exposure by the way. I don't think he'll remember though, because the next time he came round he said, and I kid you not "Oh you're a ventriloquist aren't you" :D

Well, to avoid spending mine I keep mine in a separate plastic money bag (the type you get from banks) ..... it didn't stop me from losing one though  .
I did a few tricks around a table with my 1p/£1 coin unique and I accidently dropped it on the floor, intact. There I was, for a good 15 mins or so, scuttling around on all fours, frantically searching for my lost treasure. A few people commented on what the big fuss was over - after all, it was only a quid ..... yeah, more like £25 ish  .
I still reckon someone found that and kept it, 'cos I searched everywhere, to no avail :? . They prob thought it was just a normal pound coin and spent it - I wonder how many of these are in normal circulation lol  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I spent both my Coin Unique and Cigarette thru £1 in a space of two weeks. (All good intentions at the start of the night keeping them seperate in my back pocket then it all goes wrong after a few beers!)

I lost one of my coin uniques last week!! I gave it to my nephew with other change to get some kfc :x
I stupidly used my other one during a coin through bottle, thinking it was another gaff coin, It is ruined and the penny has black marks all over it from the cola, like rust.
