Hello to Talk Magic

Postby skinicod » Aug 25th, '07, 13:26

Hello all,

A friend of mine told me about this website, it's fantastic...

I am intrested in all forms of magic, but specialise in coins and anything else which allows for impromtu magic.

I have studied magic one way or another for the last 12 years, but have only been inspired to actually put theory into practice over the last couple of years.

I believe that one of a magicians greatest assets is the ability to suspend disbelief - i.e. can we still be amazed by magic that we see, even if we know how it's done. If we can do this, our performances become truly magical, and we become almost as suprised as the spectators by the outcome of a trick.

I am also a firm believer in the benefit of studying the history of magic, knowing our roots means that we build on the strongest of foundations and leads in my opinion to the strongest magic.

Anyway look forward to speaking to you all soon,

Paul.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
