Nopes. I don't believe in them.

Why so?
You going after a certain one or just any old ghost?

I actually do a lot of work for a ghost hunting company. www.frightnights.co.uk It's always a lot of fun working for them - and I've seen some very weird things!

They're fun... not only to be a part of but for the observational aspects as well. You can learn a lot by going into the field vs. sitting at home and simply reading up on this or that and having nothing to compare it to.

Hmm. does not fool me but to be fair (and legal!) they claim it is real and it may be  . I have great fun laughing at that show.

Yes, but as one who dabbles a lot with "hauntings" "spirits" etc. within my performance, I think it's important to watch programmes like this (and indeed go on actual "ghost hunts") so one gets a feeling of authenticity that can be transfered to your work. As Craig rightly points out, one real live actual ghost hunt with people who do this kind of thing all the time is worth a hundred hours spent pouring over text books.

That's not to say that Most haunted is any good! Indeed it is entertaining for all the wrong reasons!

Most haunted are doing another one soon, Derek is going to Egypt to talk to the dead there  This is going to be very funny but a good reference point. Yvette is going too so it seems she is talkin to Derek again!

A venue in York that I work at a lot was recently filmed by the Most Haunted team for a special to be aired on ITV2. It is called "Ghost Hunting with the Dingles". I kid you not. It is a ghost hunt with the Dingles from Emmerdale.

Apparently they aired a similar thing over last Christmas called "Ghost Hunting with Girls Aloud". This was ITV2's biggest show over Christmas apparently.

I'm eagerly awaiting news about when the Ghost Hunting with the Dingles will be aired, but so far no-one seems to know. Will let you all know when I know. It will be...interesting.

what gets me about this programe is the go someware then turn out all the lights and sit in the dark and wait for the ghosts, posibly jets of cold air suplied by stage hands, to arrive.
now i may be wrong but what little experience i have in this field never involved sitting in the dark, sometimes reviewing night camera footage and checking temp and air density meters, yes, sitting in the dark waiting no.
i'd say give it a go and take a camera you may catch some of thoughs plasma ball thingys that are suposed to show ghost activity, just for fun take an ET with you and create your own ghosts.
