Master and pro bikes

Are they worth the extra money? The blurb makes them sound pretty good but I was wondering if they get tatty quite quickly so any advantage is lost. One reason I'm motivated to try some is that I have been unable to perform a consistent Faro shuffle. Out of the several hundred I've attempted only a handfull have worked.

There are reviews of both on TM.

I recall reviewing the Pro decks of Bikes and they're not too good for card magic.

Masters are just a fancy deck of Bikes that cost twice as much, simly because Ellusionist market them.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I used to use the Masters but then I got a free brick of normal Bikes and realised they are just as good (if not better) for half the price. Though lately I've been moving towards Tally-Hos.

If it is to perform a faro then I would suggest that the cards would probably make little to no difference as it is probably an incorrect technique.
There is a faro shuffle discussion thread here:

This might help

I'm not a great fan of bikes and much prefer Bee but always get dragged back to them because there are so many more options open with them. I was hoping that the Pro deck would feel better than the standard deck but doesn't sound as though it's worth the money and better to get used to handling the cheaper ones.

Faros won't work with cheap cards.
Bikes are good, Tally's often better.

But packs vary in quality - I'm currently using a Tally deck which is horrid for Faroing - usually they're superb.

The only Masters deck I've got is excellent for Faros.
