The riser deck is totally impractical as an ACR finish in an impromptu situation.

The beauty of most ACR effects is that you can do them with a borrowed deck (Yes, even card on or IN ceiling).

I see that Alakazam badge it as 'the classic ending to any ACR routine'. We'll see...

Another REALLY great ending for ACR, which can be done with the signed deck and a BIT of prep, is to use Nick Einhorn's 'Spooked'.

I think The riser deck is totally practical and it fits in perfectly to my ACR but it may not with yours? Everyone has a point of view!

Thanks, magico563:-)

Read what I said... I said: "in an IMPROMPTU".

If you can work a deck switch in right at the end, then I'm sure it fits fine!

Just saw a demo for spooked. Looks brilliant, abeit expensive. I'm assuming it uses some sort of IT/Reel. For some reason i've never been keen on using them...

I'll be keeping an eye out on ebay!

I like to have it end up in the specs shoe :) or I sign the back of a different card and my sig transfers to the back of their card.

I finish either with signed card to pocket - Twice

or signed card in mouth after doing signed card to mouth. Nice repeat effect but progressive.

I have recently figured out a way of doing signed card in sock in shoe which I tried out just by practicing my misdirection and I got away with - 3 times.. 3 times a charm.. so Ill be doing that from now on..

Signed card appears inside your sock at the sole of your foot which is inside your shoe..

Hey, no need to apologise... you'll get used to me, I am 'the grumpy self-righteous' one.

I'm not all that bad really.

Nah - he's not a bad bloke...just an Englishman who's been exiled to Wales...which explains his temperament at times

I once came up with a routine where the back of the (signed) selection changes colour, you can see the back several times before the climatic colour change (just to make sure it registers), I might re-learn that routine actually, thanks for the inspiration.

The perfect ending to an ACR? Does such a thing exist?

I end with a 'card to...' effect.
Normally wallet. Not very exciting I know, but it's impromptu.

Card to billboard. Full sized billboard. Signature and all. Now that would be good.

The ending that I finally settled on after loads of false starts was a deck vanish leaving only the selection. So now my routine goes: insert card, turn over top card to reveal it's come to the top. Repeat. Have spec push in card, card is in mouth. Put hands over deck and place between spec's hands, they push down and 'squash' the deck away leaving the selection. Short, sweet, effective. Oh and easy, nice 'n easy.

The artist who does not rise, descends.

Jay Sankey's Bigger Finish...

That could be quite nice...if you were able to get a sig on it some how...

Or...with some suggestion have them draw a certain picture on...
