Crikey, you guys talk to girls?! Man, when I was in the sixth form all I did was write essays and watch Dawson's Creek for Katie Holmes. Luckily I've managed to maintain this status quo and avoid any unnecessary distractions in my life, in fact I'd rather cut off my nose than jeopardise my future chances of success by succumbing to the devious whiles of the 'other' sex. You whipper snappers would do well to do the same.

My quick two cents. How you present yourself is going to set the tone. Do you want to be a trickster? the life of the party? or a professional magician? Figure out exactly how you want to be percieved and act accordingly. Judging from your first post, (and I realize some was said in jest, but many a truths...) you are well on your way to being "The magic man" rather then the magician. Just my two cents

common room? who said anything about a common room? My house is only 10 minutes down the road

common rooms are great places to make people think 'wow, he is cool / thats a cool trick etc'

I remember in our common room it was VERY divided into groups of people:
People who dont care: Ignore them...they dont care about ANYTHING
People who play cards (poke / black five / go fish etc): these were my 'targets' doing flase shuffles followed by perfect revelations of 'royal flush' poker hands never ceased to amaze them...they just NEVER used to let me play cards / shuffle the deck
