A Tip for the One handed shuffle

Postby da_danny » Sep 15th, '07, 19:53

Hey folks,
for everybody who has some problems with the one handed shuffle... I found an easier way to get in position of shuffling the cards together...
The normal way u have to slide it over the forefingers fingernail...

In my opinion it's a flourish so I think it's not exposure, if it is so please tell me and edit the post...

my way uses a paddle wheel cut to get in position..
here is a video..

sorry that it looks that way but try to manage to do a one handed shuffle and balance a camera in the other hand the same time ^^
would use my webcam but unfortunately it uvcvideo doesn't wanna work right now..

Hope it's useful to you..

it was for the getready not for the shuffle itself... btw try to shuffle why concentrating on holding and aiming with ur cell phone camera ^^

Was just for the get ready cuz this is the hardest part... and the way i showed is easier I believe

I would have to say that the get ready is not the hardest part, and in fact if taught correctly it should present no problem at all.

I can see a couple of issues with your method; firstly it would be considerably harder to cut consistantly at 26 cards (or half the packet if working with a short deck) which would make perfect faros impossible, and secondly the packets are far from square, which makes the weave more awkward.

Which part of the standard get ready are you finding difficult?

Take care, Ian

Mhh, my Problem with the Standard is mostly the sliding over the fingernail.

Well if u practice a little u'll see that after a while it's not that hard to cut 26 cards and leave them mostly squared... the weaving of the cards ain't a problem for me at all...

so long
