Is there an alternative...

There are a couple of items that I'm interested in buying.
One is the Miller miracle wallet, the other is the encyclopedic dictionary of mentalism.

The only place I can find both are Hank lee's. The problem is that I have heard very bad things about hank lee (there is a whole thread dedicated to him on another forum) and there is no way I want to spend so much money on things and then not hear from him for 2 years.

Does anyone know an alternative source. I've tried google, and the only other place I can find is on ebay from the states (for the dictionary of mentalism). Unfortunately the seller doesn't ship to the UK (I've asked, though I dont hold much hope).

Alakzam produce(d) a wallet that is similar to the Miller Miracle Wallet (very, very similar, if you catch my drift), but it is inferior to the MMW (as far as I can tell, never having seen a MMW up close).

Instead of a properly printed dry-wipe memo section, there is merely a laminated bit of notebook, complete with staple holes, where the pad has been taken apart!

I bought it because I too had heard bad things about Hank Lee.

Unfortunately, Alakzam don't seem to have it any more, unless I'm searching the wrong name, I thought it was called the Komedy Killer Wallet. Perhaps the similarity was a little too much!

Farlsborough posted about another, similar, product here: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/sutra199479.php

However, that wallet needed some work done to it.

I've used Hank Lee's on a few occasions now and apart from no indication of items being in stock, the splitting of the order into about 3 different packages and then them being delivered at different times, i've had no problems ;)

I'll be using them again !!
