I see Matthew Dowden has a couple of new DVD's out. Does anyone have these yet?

I really liked Party Animal. Is this more of the same?

They look pretty good.

I love the fact that he only seems to do tricks for hot girls.

Somebody buy them, and review them....................please.

Hi Everyone

Just thought I would post a quick comment about the new DVDs.

First of all, thanks for the kind comments about Party Animal, I really appreciate that.

These aren't a follow up to Party Animal but a seperate project that Russ Stevens approached me about which we thought would be a lot of fun.

Basically we wanted to show that you can take a bunch of self working card magic and make it entertaining. To show how easy the tricks are, and also to show how easy it is to come up with some presentation and patter...I did it all in 24 hours.

There has been some confusion in other places but what I am not suggesting through these is that people have to learn all 14 in 24 hours...that is simply what I did because, like I say, I thought it would be fun. I am also not suggesting that learning and doing something quickly is something people should do with their magic as I know that magic is best when practiced and practiced and then made better over time. This DVD set is about the "possibilities" of presentation and performance and I am sure that people will take the routines and, having spent a little time, do them 10 times better than I did them.

In no way are we saying that this magic is revolutionary. It is all about the reactions they can get, which is why the demo reel shows so many reactions and not tricks. The tricks are described on the box and are self working so there wouldn't be much point.

Anyway, thanks once again and please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Many thanks

Matthew

P.S. I just can't help myself when it comes to doing magic for hot women. I mean if you're going to impress anyone...might as well be a hot chick! :-)
