Which films are SO bad, they're good?

For me, it has to be The Wicker Man remake with Nicholas Cage. This has got to be the most hilarious film I have seen in a long time; the relentless barrage of laugh out loud moments just had me in stitches throughout most of the film. Everything in this film was a joke, from the appallingly bad acting to the unbelievably laughable dialogue. If you haven't seen this yet I urge you to watch it. Genius.

I remember watching a 2 hour drama on ITV last year with my Dad. Started watching at 11 and watched it till the end (can't remember the title). The basic plot was a pride of wild lions stalking a small African Village and these two guys were brought in to stalk and kill them. A non-stop laugh from beginning to end. Stupid plot and medicore acting. My pick of the hilarities was a part when these two guys are in their jeep and they catch site of one of this pride of lions. So they get OUT of the van and follow it on foot through a forest. Note, they have one rifle, are going on foot and are tracking what could be a pride of man eating lions. Anyway, after a DAY of tracking this lion and following it through endless forest (no exaggeration) they somehow manage to shoot it. They both walk furtively, in complete silence up to this dead lion. No sound apart from the odd bird singing. They survey it quietly. You could cut through the atmosphere with a knife. Then one turns to the other and whispers carefully

"Right. Go get the truck"

Might not seem funny now, but the moment was a peach to watch. Hilarious

Excellent choice, although I do believe that the cross-dresser film Ed Wood made (can't remember the name now) was even better (or worse...or..oh you know what I mean).

For me, there's a couple of my favourite all-time 'Turkeys done good'...

1. Dude, where's my car?
Decent Hollywood production values, but ghastly casting, awful plotline and ridiculous special effects. Show 10 people this movie and 9 of them just 'won't get it'. However, for some obscure reason, I love this movie and I can watch it over and over, and still laugh my nads off.

2. Guest House Paradiso
Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayall's movie adaptation of the 'Bottom' phenomenon. I had literally built up enough excitement about this movie that by the time I got to the cinema I was ready to pop.
However—it's one of the most stupid, poor-quality, low-intellect stab-in-the-dark attempts at converting standup slapstick comedy to the big screen.
However, just to keep my 'RickAde' collection complete, I bought the DVD when it was released. And since then, I've grown to love it. Especially the early appearance of Simon Pegg, and the gorgeous Helene Mahieu as Gina Carbonara.
Add to the mix the fantastic Stephen O'Donnel (Spud-Gun), Bill Nighy, Fenella Fielding (memories from my favourite Carry On movie—Carry on Screaming) and there's a cast which each in their own right adds to the hilarity.

There's also a ruck of 'oldskool' movies I'd rate, but these are the two which really do it for me.

Glen or Glenda?

Oh yes, that was a peach!

I thought that the Star Wars prequels were unintentional comedies. They reminded me of bad amdram panto.

Funny, but despite all the cliches (silver suited spaceman, killer robot, frisbee shaped flying saucer etc), this is one of my all time favourite 'classic' Sci-Fi films. I'll never forget the immortal phrase "Klaatu barada nikto"! Quite a bit more depth than most 'ray gun blasters' of its time, as Wiki says: the film's explicit message of peace, in combination with its dark outlook regarding human society, has earned the film lasting critical acclaim.

Ah well, one man's meat is another man's poison I suppose!

I remember a series called the worst of holywood, which as were all teens we would stay up late just because we could and watch them to the end.(about ten of us)

One was a film about a group of scientists on an oil platform. Only it was a very small platform. ie one hut about the size of a garage on it and a big derik or tower in the center. Anyway about ten scientists lived on this thing and they dug up a load of eggs. One hatched became a monster. (just like the one hanibal out of the A team played). So man in lizard suit slowly killed off all the guys as they had no way of defending themselves. In the end there was one guy and this girl. the monster chased them round the hut a couple of times and then they went up the tower. At the top the guy pulled out his gun and shot it dead! I kid you not.

At the very end of the credits the unhatched eggs were shown to creepy music

Oh no there could be a sequal! This is therefore the scariest film in history.

For me I loved Pearl Harbour as it has the most Cliche ridden script and direction I've probably ever seen. I have never laughed/cringed at a film so much.
I've almost considered buying it on DVD but I dont want to encourage Michael Bay to make any more films. Yes he also inflicted Armageddon, Bad Boys 2 and Transformers on the world.
Shame on you Michael Bay shame on you

lol My favourite bit in pearl habour is the point where the Japanese have started bombing Pearlhabour and the ships and sinking etc. Now this is obviously a tragic event as it depicts a true event where hundreds of men were killed but Michael Bay just couldnt help himself.
As one of the ships is sinking you see all the men jumping in the water all shouting and screaming in terror.
The next shot is from under the water looking up at the surface, the men all treading water, struggling for their survival. The patriotic music rises and an Amercian flag slowly floats passed.
At this point I actually swore out loud
