I did do a search so link me to a page if you want.

Just wondering how often people see celebrities, not only magic people, just walking around, or just see them period.

Bringing this up because I saw Jemaine from Flight of The Conchords in NYC the other day. funny guy

I bumped into Vic Reeves in a night club once and met Paula Radcliff at the London Maraton a couple of years ago.

Patrick Stewart shops in Tescos in Skipton.

I see most of the Emmerdale cast on a daily basis as well, we work next door to the studio, and usually go for a pint with some of them on Lunch.

When I studied for my Diplomas I stayed in the Moathouse in Borehamwood on the outskirts of London and close to the East Enders studio in Elstree.

One night there was a heavy snowfall and some of the cast stayed including the Farrerra family, "Paul Truman" and Nigel Harman who played heartthrob Dennis Rickman. Sorry to disappoint you ladies but, and I'll be as diplomatic as I can, he is not as tall in real life as he appears on the small screen!!!

Oh, and some of the Big Brother cast were there too - the plonkers

My oldest sister was good friends with UB40 so we used to hang around with them quite a bit as a kid, andPato Banton

Kula Shaker ( yes, that c*** (not the best) band ) came to see our school play when I were 16.

Saw Jordan lashed in a nightclub a few years ago and me and my mate got a dance and sat with her for a bit.. got a couple of photos somewhere.

ran into Dwight Yorke on his stint at Bham, also stopped Sarah Cox for a chat years ago in her early days.. tried to chat her up.. didnt work..

No one famous though.

This would be more impressive as a celebrity sighting if this was 1986...but I still find it funny.

Two weeks ago, while on our honeymoon in Rome, my wife and I were at dinnerin a small cafe on Via Veneto. A guy at the table behind us, asked if we could take a picture of their group. Taking his camera, I looked at him, thinking to myself that he looked REALLY familiar...

I took one pic, and they asked for a second one. Being prone to speaking before thinking. I had them smile and say "Ready? 1 - 2 - 3 MAHONEY!"

They all had a big laugh. As he took back the camera, I was - to my horror - formally introduced to Steve Guttenberg. We had a quick chat, and he was actually a very cool guy.

I've had other celebrity spottings...but that's my current favorite.

On the King Harry ferry down by Falmouth last year there was a rather smart Rolls Royce in front and the guy in the passenger seat looked very familiar but I couldn't think of his name until we were all driving off. It was the actor Tom Conti ( http://www.tomconti.co.uk/ ) who was in Shirley Valentine a few years back.

I met Tommy Cooper when I was duty manager at a hotel in Nottingham many years ago. He didn't fancy any of the food on the posh A La Carte menu so I had to go out to the chippy for him! What a character!

I was sure I saw that ginger bald guy from little britain and the orange mobile phone adverts in town a few months ago, I think his name is Rob Arnold and I've seen Rick Witter from Shed Seven walking about but thats not surprising seeing as he's from York

When I worked for John Lewis in Oxford Street, I used to see celebrities all the time. Saw David Jason browsing the sports equipment once; sold some luggage to Dina Carroll, Jenny Agutter and Zoe Wanamaker (on separate occasions, not all at once!). Also shared a lift with Rick Mayall once, but by the time I summoned up the courage to say something, he got out and wandered off. Damn. Stirling Moss came in once and made a big fuss over his damaged suitcase. Have to say he came across as quite arrogant in a "don't-you-know-who-I-am" sort of way. Also saw Rory McGrath on the Tube last year, looking rather disheveled, and bumped into Roger Lloyd-Pack (Trigger from Only Fools and Horses) in Sainsbury's a few years ago.
