e-bay fraud

Postby Beardy » Oct 18th, '07, 20:50

just an update to those who go on e-bay.

Just, about 2 mins ago, received an e-mail from e-bay asking to update all my details.

Just a reminder to you guys that it is obviously a scam. If you fancy it, open the link to where they ask you to fill in your details. Don;t fill them in, but look at the url...just added evidence.

Just dont want to see you guys scammed.

Cheers!

Love

Chris

Hello Blapster,

Thanks, that was nice of you to show us all. I'm always getting stuff from ebay.

Love,

The clue that it's a complete scam is always in the headers.

Also they always start with 'Dear Ebay User' or 'Dear trusted customer' etc.

That just makes it obvious! Also next time you get one, count the spelling mistakes in the email! They're always quite funny!

Never update your information on any site because you get an email telling you too. If you really have a question then call the company in question. And don't dial the number that is listed on the email.
