Heading for a record again?

Postby Mandrake » Nov 12th, '03, 18:21

I just noticed that there are 10 users on line at the same time (must be rush hour) so a good chance of beating the record of 15. This Forum must be getting popular or something!

Well, I was in two minds about mentioning it so that adds another one, there are some on line who have skills worth at least two of anyone else so that adds another 6, we have to allow Laurence extra value as it's his site and he's a good guy (and I'm a right creep) so that's another one....damn.....I've lost count now. Oh, well, back to the boiler room.

I shall mention the forum in my next mailshot, so hopefully we can beat it!! Who knows!!!

I am really pleased that we are getting a lot of new magicians on the forum.

This is probably mainly due to us being the No. 1 magic forum on google.com - check it out!!:

Excellent.

Lots of numbers...

Mandrake's about to turn 1000, record no. of users, and ZERO animosity amongst forum members.

That's good enough for me...

And you know what, I've noticed that there is always at least 1 user on the board, no matter what time of day or night I come on, I've never seen 0 users on the board

To see 0 users would be a bit awkward. You'd need to log on to see if anyone were on line and that would mean 1 user. The only time there are 0 users is when nobody is logged on. And this takes us into the realms of such questions as:

In the total absence of light, is a black cat still black?
When you're the last one to leave a room, once you close the door is it still there?
If a tree crashes to the ground in the middle of a forest and there's nobody around, does it still make a noise?
Why do we never see baby pigeons?
Why do people who repair shoes also cut keys? :?

All of which gives me a right headache!!

Hmm we never see Baby pigeons cos by the time they leave the nest they are as big as the parent.

The rest are a bit tougher

There's still 1 registered - I know that's nit picking but what the hell, it says 0 users!

Now how about all the other questions? By the way, don't ask the one about what is the sound of one hand clapping - I worked that out ages ago. Try it for yourself, if you do it fast enough it's a sort of swishing wind noise
