A guy with no magical talent at all, joined for help!

Postby xaelic » Oct 25th, '07, 22:54

Hi, I'm Xae/Zach. I recently became interested in magic and was looking for a forum/community to help me. I know most magicians won't tell their secrets, and if you guys are those people tell me now via PM cause after this post I'm off to see the rules.

Sooo, I'm american.... (I see .uk) I guess that's all I have to say.

I see I can't ask how to do tricks so I see no point in my being here.

That kind of 'interest' in magic is exactly the kind we need like a hole in the head  For anyone else that thinks like this... Go spend some money and research! Magic is an artform that takes years of dedication, (thats why I'm so rubbish  )

Would it amaze you all if I said that I get about 20 emails/PMs a day from people like that?

And the AMOUNT OF ENQUIRIES I GET TO THE SHOP are ridiculous...

"So, I know you dont do secrets, and I am not a magician, but I need to know how needle thru arm works"

Do these penis-heads really expect an answer?

I urge the poster to come back and explain why they wasted their time going through the email verification process to join TM without bothering to read the rules.

So... you're a vegetarian walking into a steakhouse asking 'I think it's disgusting there is no strict vegetarian menu here..."

The postless poster unites

Postby Amanda Angeli » Oct 26th, '07, 12:09

Hello All,

Wouldn't it be funny if the post that in a sense, never was, became our most popular post? I mean, look at how many of us responded to this. Goodness, gracious, me oh my.

What is it about this person that struck us all so? I guess that it's just that so many of us have tender hearts and we so love helping others. That's what makes our TalkMagic such a beautiful family. We all want to help so badly, not because of any reason other than that is the kind of people we are.

I was thinking like Lady of Mystery was, I wanted to talk about all kinds of fun books and dvds and such. And then, like magic, the poster was gone. Yet, in his wake, he brought us all together in a way, each for our own reasons, each reaching out in our own ways. Yet, all reaching out together, and, I find that just the most beautiful thing in the world.

You know something, all of you, my friends, we are the most blessed group, the greatest family, the neatest bunch of magicians that I know of and I am proud to be here with all of you.

Granted, I don't know all of you half as well as I'd like, but I so hope in time we can all get to know each other better.

I find it interesting that a poster who essentially never was, brought us to where we are.

Hugs everyone.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

I was checking my junk mail folder and I saw a email from someone I didn't recognise asking me if I was finished with my stealing the show dvd (which ironically I got as a freebie from magictricks.co.uk) could I forward it onto him, I didn't bother replying
