I have seen the Supercoin, and it is the same as 'Clone Coin' which you can get from www.merlinswakefield.co.uk They marketed this effect in 1996, and the best part is......its only £25 + postage for the 10p version.

Hmm, I was wondering if anyone might mention that - I might drive over to Merlin's tomorrow and ask for a demo. I've had a couple of machined coins of varying times from Merlin's and they're top quality usually.

Re. Sanada's - never understood the point, not for coin magic at least. You can't exactly let people inspect your hand, and if you're going to hold that position and try not to give people time to have a nosey, you might as well just get comfortable finger palming.

I it might be the same as Mark Lee's Clone Coin from the video. I have a Clone Coin (2 p version) and I think its great! Carry it in my pocket all the time as it is ideal for the "OK, show us a coin trick" situation. Works reliably and I havnt been caught out with it yet after hundreds of uses.

I spoke to Mark Lee yesterday and he says this is a direct ripoff of his 'clone coins' utility

Well, thanks guys...this thread, coupled with some talk I've heard about a new Craig Petty DVD has just sent me all the way to PayPal and back

So - on preorder, I now have Craig's 'Split Happens' (which comes with a free copy of 'Protons', by Chris Priest, so I consider that a bargain, in any case ), and I'm now scouring the net for a Split Coin/Super coin in Half Dollar format at a decent price.

Will let you know what I think when it all turns up, as usual
