Going back to the other topic, I really hoped I would see some kind of street con when I went New York on holiday, but alas nothing. I did see a guy on the subway flourishing with a pack of cards, then again I do this on the tube!

A common tactic is to ask someone to bet say £1 then they aren't nervous about paying and it's just a pound lost if nothing else. Surprise surprise you will win, and then think maybe £2 and so on.

Then you'll win about £10 after putting £5 in and bet that £10 and guess what..your lucks gone.

yeah, i agree - its like any con though, it just plays on peoples greed - if they think that they can win big, EVERYTIME, then they bet more and more money, until BAM...no money left at all....
