As a starter I tend to just say "Excuse me have you seen how weird this is" and I either put a coin on the back of their hand or on my own and use a raven to vanish it.
I then introduce myself as the entertainment for the night and continue.

i took a tip from Sankey who says there better be magic happening as soon as you arrive and found this perfect for me.

Do it you won't regret it....it works in all enviornements...and has actually helped my coin work as you can do very similar sleights, effects, etc...only limited by your imagination.

They are very inexpensive.....often thought of as kiddy props or old school magic...but the classics are classics because they stand the test of time...much like rings, cups and balls, and silk work......very useful

yeh people say there very similar to using coins but more versatile and bold... :D

they are very similar to coins, I've found that many coin tricks can be adapted to work with sponges.

I've even made myself a cardboard okito box for sponges which works a treat. I'm going to get my cousin to make me one up in wood.

What about revover card trick..if there is a table
Or a simple silk vanish with a TT but make it reapper in a roll or someones handbag or somethin.
