Hello! I just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Cory, and I have always been fascinated with Magic. While trying to figure out a hobby to occupy some of my time, I was telling my wife how many years ago I was really into Magic. She didn't believe me, so I ran downstairs and grabbed the few tricks that I still have and demonstrated them to her (it had been a while, but I remembered how to do all three without too much rehearsal). I had fun, especially when I saw the look on her face (you know - the "how in the heck did he do that?" look). So now, I'm getting re-acquainted and I think I re-found my hobby. I found this website while browsing the internet trying to find resources to re-awaken my past...

As to my background, I'm 34 and a former US Marine Helicopter pilot who now works as a software engineer. I live in Maryland on the East Coast of the US.

Welcome to TM. I re-discovered magic a few years ago, then re-re-discovered it after 6 weeks (taking and revising for my GCSEs) in June. It can be amazing how quickly "it all comes back" to you. I really hope that TM helps you re-discover that passion. Magic is a brilliant hobby. Hope to see you around the boards. :D

James, 19, Lifelong student of magic and will carry on learning for the rest of my days if I'm a very lucky boy.

I used to fly the CH-46E Sea Knight (or Phrog as we lovingly called her). I'm actually working on coming back into the reserves because I miss flying her...

Hi Cory and welcome, somehow the idea of a chopper pilot just 'dropping in' seems very worrying - shouldn't you be in the parachute division  ?
