All pointers for the chop cup should come from Mr Greedo. I ve seen his chop cup routine and it blew me away.

Every one says the Daniels routine is amazing and the best. It dosent hold a candle to greedo's. Hopefully he will perform it again when i next see him

Your Jigga routine is rather good by the way speaking of chop cups. Chop Cups shall be the next Dini Greedo challange.

Chop Cup

Postby Allen Tipton » Nov 21st, '07, 18:22

:D Never ever had the ball appear trouble with CC but did with the salt shaker version. I found a round, thin piece of card gummed over IT, did the trick.
Always carry your mat( if it works on this) or preferably a small square of plywood( flock covered) as a base. Don't trust just any old surface to work on.
Had to use the same idea but with aluminium with Confabulation which also needs a firm surface to work effectively

Excellent advice, thanks Allen!

I've got a CD covered in rubber then green felt somewhere, I'll dig that out and give it a go!

Hi Carlow

I also use the Morrisey and experienced a similar problem until I got used to it. Two things to consider and the first regarding the 'flick'

when putting the cup down to make the magic happen, I don't put the cup down flat but instead, just hit the edge of the cup on the mat first by a fraction of a second before laying it flat. Hopefully you will know what I mean.

Secondly, use a larger size ball which you should find releases easier

If this makes any sense to you.....I have found that ensuring that when I place the cup down it doesn't hit the table - when I say hit I don't mean aggressively - evenly. Allow one edge to hit the table first so it isn't put down too evenly....if you get what I am saying....I find it applies a little sideways pressure and helps to do the trick....
