Inventive ballooon modelling

Postby Jordan C » Nov 22nd, '07, 20:32

Ok so I work for a skip company and we do get house clearance skips come thru from time to time. We sort all our skips as they come into the yard so that precious metals (copper, aluminium etc) are separated and we put as little into landfill as possible.

Well a female sadly died and led to a house clearance skip being needed by her father. When I wen to drop it off we were chatting as I do wiuth all clients about what the skip is for etc and he became upset talking about her and how she was arty and craty and into magic....

Instantly I said about my own interest in magic and tried to lift his spirit by saying things like "oooh but I bet she didnt half baffle you eh" etc etc...

his mood did lift as he talked about happy memories and he said there was one thing I always enjkoyed seeing her do.... BALLOONS!!

Apparently instead of the mundane stuff like (well I can do a worm and a snake) dogs etc she would make monsters and other unusual (or at least not so expected) creatures.

He then gave me about 300 modelling balloons that were bound for the skip.

Now I feel obliged to learn but in the way she intended.....

So finally my point is..... anyone know of any GOOD online resources for modelling more unusual stuff?

Contact Tony Hymas - he's the daddy when it comes to balloons. Ive seen him work and he's awesome.

I phoned a company recently and asked if I could have a skip outside of my house and he said, sure, just go ahead and skip

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Go to "Balloon Twisting Instructions" on this site:
http://www.balloon-animals.com/

I can recommend the 3-balloon Spiderman.
