Magic Books By Post

Postby Charles Calthrop » Nov 25th, '03, 14:01

Has anyone ordered anything from these people?

They've got an impressive range and list some stuff that I thought was out of print and want very badly. Thing is their ordering arrangements are a little unconventional and the answering machine message is...well...weird. Just wondering if someone can give me some confidence in them before I send a cheque.

I bought Newspaper Magic by Gene Anderson from them last month. The price was as good as anywhere else i had been able to find it and the packing / speed of delivery was excellent. Well worth considering when looking for some of the harder find magic literature

magic books by post are without doubt the greatest magical book supplier in the world!!! Trust me. They atend almost every convention in this country, the delivery is almost always withing 48 hours, and if they havnt got it, they will get it.
I have been dealing with them for a great number of years without a single problem.
The buiseness with the registration number? who knows. Its probably been loaded onto the site wrong.
Just give Betty and D a ring and have a chat. They realy do know what they are doing.

The swiftest and cheapest way to start a Limited company is to buy one 'off the shelf' and already registered - even if it's dormant - and just change the name to suit. .

Thanks. I'm glad to hear good things about them because they're listing a book I'm desparate for that everyone else says is oop.

Old thread but just to add to what others have said, I've been buying books from them for almost 25 years and never a single problem.

No, Ben, this is an actual company specialising in Magic Books. It's not just orderign a magic book through your local bookshop. I think you'll find that many of the more technical or advanced magic books will either be very difficult to order through your bookshop or it will be impossible. Also you have to bear in mind that most Magic suppliers will get their stock directly from the publisher whereas a normal book shop may have to go through various other middle-men before you get it, bumping the price up.

All the best,

Will Wood
