I love how the magicy related things you got were relevant! I got two awful books on magic..."Every magic secret in the world revealed". True I am a beginner at magic, but not this much of a beginner...The second book was equally poor. I guess to laypeople, magic is magic, and any book they pick up would do.

I did have one silver lining. I got one of those Magic Marvin sets...surprisingly it's pretty good. "Lights from anywhere". Pratically D'lites! On sale now for the pair at £4.99 from Firebox.

I got some interesting 'magic related' books: The War Magician, The Rise and Fall of the Indian Rope Trick, and Tricks of the Mind. Have started the rope trick one and am really enjoying it. But was hoping for the Shigeo Takagi re-print so may have to buy it myself soon...

Yes, my missus got me the Rope Trick book and I finished it already. A great read. Peter Lamont's other book The First Psychic is also a great read.

Met the lamont at a Psychology conference the man is a legend! Great tips on the use of a TT.
