Nice performance Ryan. Handling looked nice and smooth to me.

ouch, I would reccomend to take the video of the internet. I know this trick and ive got it smooth, but that performance could give away the technique to many people. I could easily see everything. This video is a exposure at the level of performance. Keep practicing and get better :D

Quite differing opinions then!

I thought it was fine but you used too much cover where it wasn't necessary, the beauty of Torn is that the pieces seem to fuse without any apparent covering or rubbing moments at the point of contact. You've got the handling down so just try and do it more at fingertips. Nice one.

I thought it looked really quite good, but would agree with bronz.

Why not post up your version then? I thought it was fine, of course it could have been better, but what can't?

Lets see yours eh?

I liked it :), of course it could be better and it may seem obvious to some of us (rickyt1016) but thats because we're magicians we look out for it. The only advice i could give you is to you is dont use cover where cover is not needed.

I agree that it could have been a bit better. There were several flashes, even before the trick began.

What I don't understand is do you do your version upside down compared to Danny's version? lol

i saw many flashes, but even to audience; they can be very intentive and these kinds of flashes will make a someone go "OH HEY I SAW THAT", then your in a world of pain because then they are gonna start asking to see the card. Magic is to fool, and some people are sooo intrested and focused that they may see better then we do just for the sake of spoiling the trick. But dont give up, keep up the work. Your skilled, but work the edges

I rewatched this in light of the last couple of comments and the only flash I saw was on the third piece. Otherwise it was just too covered as I said earlier. What else did you guys spot?

thats real bright of you, in one post you say "its exposure, mine is smoother take it off its exposure", and the next your pointing out things that will give it away to someone who couldnt see the things you were talking about, your so smart

steve, i didnt even notice that first flash, your quite right, although that is down to the angle of the camera (normally the spec is level infront) cheers for feedback, and yeah, i do it upside down, dont ask me why, im just upside down,

:D

Just practice some more and find the correct rhythm and pace to perform the effect so that you don't pause inappropriately and stuff. This is one of the main reasons why I flourish... it helps me understand the flow of cuts and effects :)
