Hello from a young Londoner!

Postby Lenoir » Jan 3rd, '08, 23:58

Hello all! My name is Ruairidh (rory) and I have just joined this forum. Well two days ago! I really can't remember how I found out about this site but yeah! Here I am and i hope to become a regular here!

Anyway back to myself, I am 16, 17 on the 27th February and have been practising what I call "traditional" magic for about a year and a month!
What I mean by this is, I went through a phase of wanting to be all David Blainey, but eventually fell in love with sit down card magic, spongeballs and my chop cup.

I am currently working on my sponegball routine, a chop cup routine with a cold read object appearing and some mentalistic (?) card stuff.
Finished RRTCM about 2 monthes ago and am thorougly pleased with what I have learnt! I have now just recieved the Devils Picturebook and am very slowly watching it!

I am also studying in my own time a very basic "history of magic" course that I put together myself. Researching different elements and magicians as the weeks progress!

Yes well that was all very nice and lovely. I am currently looking for some kind of magic club or society to visit and also, if at all possible I am looking for..not a teacher..but almost a magical mentor.

I live in Redbridge, East London and am more than happy to travel! Of course i expect to pay something for expertise but thats life!

Thanks for taking the time to read!

The Wild Card, Ruairidh Flint

Hi and welcome to TM  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I could tell you things about them two..But maybe another time and place young man. I am a east London type myself.

Redbridge you say I think Ilford is your best bet for a magic club. There is also one in Romford I thinks.

Markdini you have truly made my day, in fact no, my week. The Ilford magic club looks good and they seem serious about joining and such. I would be suspicious about any magic club that didn't have some sort of real selection process!

Thanks once again!
