I believe the technical term is he "dumbed it down" for you.

Yes Mr Markdini,
After a long lay off I am back with a vengeance. I need to research mentalism greatly before I take the plunge as it were.
I do tend to be getting drawn more and more towards the darker side(not sure if I should be worried about that).
Have read 13 steps and Anneman but need to expand now.

Also Marc Spelmann has a couple of dark effects out there. Check out the Afflicted too.

You got to be carefull though you arent a "Hammy" style of magician with tarot cards and the likes too. Also ever one who is doing "the darker side" should also do a haunted key.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

I would highly recommend Black Hart, Keith's service is excellent, and he has a good range, and from what I've heard from other people, the Black Artifacts range of magic is top notch. As others have said though, you need to be able to sell this type of magic properly.

I think it has also been discussed that the majority of the effects Keith markets are quite easy to perform though, so you can concentrate on your presentation rather than on having to remember complicated sleights etc.

Yeap simple to peform selight wise. Selling the effect though is something else. Just because an effect is easy in one respect dosent mean its not in another.

I love Weeja and use it in different ways. It's definitley something that needs an atmosphere generated. It just wouldn't have the same effect in a nightclub.
