I haven't yet seen any reviews for the videos mentioned above. I only have the one and i intend to post a review for those that may be interested.

However, i would like to ask for the opinions of others on these videos. I would say that the one i have is worth it's money but, some seem a bit expensive (and short). There are many dvds available on the internet and besides, picture quality, etc. Do these dvds beat International Magic Lectures in terms of content?

I am considering The Harry Lorayne Lecture, and The Tom Mullica Lecture. If i am mistaken and these two lectures are poor, please do tell.

When I first started out I went to International Magic and bought a few things and one of them was an introductory close up "kit" which included a video and associated props (rope, paddle, TT and silk, dice and sponge balls). For the life of me I cant remember the magicians name (very sorry if you are actually reading this...you unknown magician you!)...

...it is actually an excellent introduction to close up working as he doesn't just explain the routines but really goes into primary principles of misdirection. It is an hour long and considering he is only showing a few routines he does cover them in great detail which you can take forward into any routine really...

I thought it was a bit pricey at £26 at the time but it was only after I had been into magic for a few months did I appreciate the teaching in it.

....I had a look last night...Dave Jones it was!

He has another couple of lecture videos out with International which may be useful for the beginner. One for cards and one for coins...

He is, what I would call, a traditional Northern magician....his patter is good but more importantly his explanations are clear.

Dave Jones is the Wolves manager.

If only, He could magic up a few players under 37. Like some strikers, (...and some midfielders, and some defenders, and a goalkeeper!!!). Either that or the old appearance of a russian billionaire, as if from Russia.
