Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Visualisation is a good thing to use too. It's used alot in sport, run through the event or in this case the performance in your mind over and over before hand, concentrate on how well everything goes. I find it helps alot.

Fortunately even I am aware of who Iron Maiden are in the 'muscial' sense  . And rather bizarrely, there's a new firm started up locally who will collect your dried washing, steam press it and return it for a suitable fee. They trade under the name of 'Iron Maiden'. Laugh? I thought I'd never start.....

It's perfectly normal to have stage fight.Any seasoned professional always is. If they tell you otherwise they are (bull of fullshit) Sorry folks its meant in a good way. The great Dante always was he mentiones it in his writings, He applied deep breathing excersises befor going live. Being rather nervous makes you more attentive too. Go for it.

Hi, i was looking on david blaines official website the other day and there is a Q & A section on there where david actually replies to your questions.

Someone asked him how to stop being so nervous and he said, pretend to be nervous, that way it has the oppisite effect ie. when you try and stay awake, you fall asleep and when you try to get to sleep you cant! This method doesnt work for me but thought you might find it interesting.

Hardly!

Although, Sir Laurence Olivier said he was actually physically ill before he went on stage. Every time.

So, mathgeek, don't worry about it. If it never goes away, it will, at least, ease with your frequency of performing.
