Hello,
I'd been thinking about joining the forum for a while now but never actually got around to doing it. Well, here I am!

I perform magic as a hobby. My interests lie mostly in card magic and cups and balls, although I'm willing to learn a bit about everything!
I'm currently president of the Magic Society at my university (UCL - University College London). The aim of the society is to introduce students to magic and equip them with the basic skills to successfully and confidently perform magic. I'm pleased to say it's going very well and we have lots of enthusiastic people.
We're going to have an end-of-(academic) year show in March where members will have the chance to show off their skills. It's going to be a lot of fun but a lot of work too, so I'd appreciate any advice you can give me! I'll probably have a few questions for the forum along the way...
I hope to learn a lot here, but also help out as much as I can. I've been purchasing many DVDs for the society, so I can certainly contribute some reviews.

In conclusion, I propose a (virtual) toast: to magic!

Cheers,
Douglas
