Hi all,

I am slowly trawling through my Becker and Earl files and was wondering if anyone can quickly direct me towards Larry Becker's 9 card force. I see it is utilized in Chinese Choice on Alakazams website, but don't really fancy prchasing this effect. It must be on a DVD or in one of his books somewhere but am being lazy in the research of it. Just to check it is the force where 9 cards are shuffled and given out freely... but the final number is predicted in amazing fashion!!!

Any help/name pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know any sources for learning this force, but I've just watched the demo for Chinese Choice on Alakazam's website. The presentation is quite novel and fun, but the method is fairly simple to work out with a little thought. If you watch the demo carefully, I'm sure you can figure it out for yourself. In the demo, 165 was forced, but you can force a different number if you want to. I think it works quite well and is convincing. (I only figured it out because I sat down and worked it out with pen and paper, which your spectator is not going to do during your performance, I hope!) During an actual performance, I think this is quite an effective way to force a seemingly random number on someone.
