The way Carol Vorderman easily polishes off hard sums makes me go weak at the knees.

Oh dear. You too? Mind you, you're allowed as an old man - more embarassing for youngsters like me! :P

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

I went to a party of Carol Vooderman's once. She's a lovely person to talk to.

Yeah I went to see Sweeny Todd with the missus when it came out, I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with it, but she loved the film so brownie points for me

It was all a bit musical for my tastes and not really dark enough (never thought I'd say that about a Tim Burton film!) although Sacha Baron Cohen (aka Ali-G) was extremely funny in the film.

Someone mentioned "No Country For Old Men" by the Cohen Brothers in this thread, now that is a great film that I really enjoyed, however the ending wasn't what I was expecting (not going to say anymore).

Javier Bardem (the main 'bad' guy in the film) was excellent, a really creepy character portrayed excellently, I'd never heard of him before this film and looking through other films he has done I'm not surprised, just check out some of these titles "Between Your Legs", "Trembling Flesh", "Mouth to Mouth", "The Tit and the Moon", "Not Love, Just Frenzy", "Golden Balls" and my personal favourite "A Tale of Ham and Passion".

Need I say more...

I thought Sweeney Todd Looked fantastic;Costumes, sets, makeup, Camera owrk etc.
But bloody hell do I hate musicials and this one is particularly dreadful. Depps David Bowie impression just made me laugh as it reminded me of The Flight of the Conchords "Bowie Song".
The lyrical content of each song didnt seem to have any correlation to the music what-so-ever.
If the film had had no musical numbers in it I would have probably loved it.

have a listen to bowie's song "when i live my dream" and "karma man" from the 60s to here how similar they sound..obviously bowie is better, but it is uncanny in places...

and the woman, whatserface - married to timmy burton, her, she sounded like that there trendy Kate Nash...
