Gorilla Gorilla! Blackpool photo request.

Postby Flash » Feb 26th, '08, 17:15

A big thank you to those of you who stopped and took the time to watch me spouting nonsense outside Blackpool Magic convention this weekend. I hope you enjoyed what you saw me and my gorilla do, it was great fun and the amazing people I met made it an experience that will always stay with me.

In case you didn't get a chance to watch or were left slightly befuddled by the affair (believe me listening to Phileas Flash has that effect) I ought to explain that I was there partly to publicise a new show that I'm putting together. The show is tied in with a gorilla conservation charity ( www.gorillas.org ) and is being created with a view to raise awareness for this worthwhile cause.

They have asked me to send photos for a forthcoming article that will be appearing in their next newsletter. Obviously I was too busy entertaining the throngs to take any photos myself, but was aware of positively hundreds of cameras pointing in my direction during the many hours that I was standing outside. So please if you have any good shots that you'd be happy to donate (for a very good cause) would it be possible to send them on to my email? Unfortunately there isn't much chance of royalties, but you would have my thanks and the gratitude of a very endangered species.
Cheers.

Nevermind old man, part of the reason I'm doing this show is that gorillas are becoming rarer, I guess that counts for good shots of people in gorilla costume as well!

Thanks anyway my friend, if you could send me what you have I'd really apreciate it. Maybe someone else may be able to supply shots of my ape associate...

Flash,

I have a feeling I'll regret this later :? But ....

I'm sure some of the Balackpool attendees will stop monkeying arround once they realise they've behaved like baboons and have a 'fur'ther look in their phones or cameras for you ....

Perhaps those singing 'Tie a yellow ribbon' might sing 'But we're too busy singing' from your assistants favourite group

Hey hey we're the .....

Well, a quick update. I only managed to get one photo with my gorilla in it from Blackpool and it wasn't quite right so (using the miracle of modern technology) I've decided to go with this jungle shot instead...
