Earthquake

Postby EckoZero » Feb 27th, '08, 02:05

Hmmm... a few of my friends just mentioned that their house shook.

I guess it must be an earthquake. Didn't get it myself - but did anyone else?

Im in York and I got it. It woke me and my roommates up.

I wondered if anyone else got it. It seems they did.

Wow, ive never been in one before.

It would seem your friends are not going mad

It's hit everywhere basically. Apart from apparently Burwell.

I was in the one we had a few years ago but still feel somewhat left out by not getting this one

Awww, well, it seems the rest of my boarding school felt it.

Also a friend 20 miles away texted me in terror when she felt it.

Ive never been in one before at all. It was quite exciting.

I just assumed it was my roommate in the next bed enjoying himself far to violently

Yup, I got it, although I'm disappointed to find it affected everywhere. It's my first one, I wanted it just to be our street :D

Hehe, I love the fact that people feel an earthquake and think: Friends? Family? Nah, I wonder if my friends on TalkMagic have felt it?

My friend said the whole house just shook, and having been in one before (another one from Birmingham in 2002) I was quite excited about the prospect of being in another - (they are exciting aren't they? :D )

Unfortunately it didn't hit here but hit a town 20 miles away and another one 15 miles away... Sigh

Yep, woke us up too. Thought for a moment, in my sleep haze, that I'd finally mastered telekinesis... Ah well, back to the drawing board... <sigh>

That was definitely the best one I've been in. Especially for Darkest Cheshire. I bet it was cool to be in Market Rasen! By the way, does everyone know that you're supposed to stand in a door frame if a big one hits? That and what to do if someone has a fit are the only two things I know about dealing with emergencies - other than to tut and put the kettle on.

GMTV this morning said they'd had 5000 text messages from people basically all saying, "I had an earthquake, me". Self validation fallacy can be soooo embarrassing at times

Sorry, here at robustly constructed Mandrake Mansions we didn't feel a thing! A guy on the radio this morning said he'd been woken up to find his Wife's little dog in their bed quaking with fear - he said it wasn't normal to find Shih Tzu in bed.

Apparently this Shih Tzu was a Jack Russell.....

I didn't feel anything here, although I was in Folkestone visiting my mum last year when they had their one there. Was really fightening, don't want to have to be in one of those again!
